Voice recognition is bloody fantastic. I got it working myself today, and it's like playing a whole new game. The newest commands from the Elite Force mod actually work too, so you can order the squad to disable traps, secure all evidence, or restrain all people in the area. Particularly useful for missed items, though occasionally they might pathfind their way through parts of the map you're not ready for yet, trying to get back to a pistol dropped in a nook somewhere lol xD

Part 2 :) I'm learning that to switch between the fireteams and giving them commands it's better to wait a second, otherwise the select fireteam order and the actual order can get muddled and mistakes start happening.
SWAT 4 is a 2005 tactical first-person shooter video game developed by Irrational Games and published by Sierra Entertainment (Vivendi Universal Games) exclusively for Microsoft Windows. It is the ninth installment in the Police Quest series and the fourth installment in the SWAT subseries. In SWAT 4, the player commands a police SWAT team in the city of Fairview, New York.
Various improvements to the game are added in The Stetchkov Syndicate, such as the addition of VoIP to multiplayer games, seven new singleplayer missions, two new multiplayer modes, seven new weapons (including the ability to punch non-compliant individuals), 10 player co-op with up to two teams of five, stat tracking, and ladders and rankings for multiplayer were added. New game mechanics were also added, including the ability to hold commands until the leader gives the signal in singleplayer, the ability to divide players into red and blue elements in multiplayer, and the chance for surrendering suspects to pick up their weapons if they are not arrested in time.
The expansion also has a Speech Recognition feature. This would've allowed the player to issue commands using their voice. The feature can be turned on using console commands, or by adding some data to SwatGui.ini.
If cheat functions are enabled in Swat4.ini (or if using the expansion, Swat4x.ini), the player has access to a number of debugging features. There is a console command "help" which is supposed to display a list of commands, but doesn't. Instead it logs the list of commands to Swat4.log (or if using the expansion, Swat4x.log).
Version 1.5 brings a lot of changes. The importance of armor and selecting different types of ammunition for specific situations has been increased. There are also new types of bullets. In addition, the diversity of enemies has been increased as well - both in terms of weapons and AI archetypes determining their behavior. New voice commands have been added to aid in multiplayer, and options to customize our character's appearance during multiplayer encounters have been expanded.
A realistic tactical First-Person Shooter video game, developed by Irrational Games (makers of System Shock 2, the BioShock series and (surprisingly) the Freedom Force series) and published by Sierra in 2005. It's the fourth installment of Sierra's S.W.A.T. series (itself a Spin-Off of the older Police Quest series). The game is set in the fictional US East Coast city of Fairview and unlike its predecessor, SWAT 3, it deals with more mundane-themed missions, usually involving professional rescuing of hostages or neutralizing various terrorist groups or criminal gangs. The player takes on the role of a young SWAT Team officer, a recent transfer from the LAPD to the Fairview special response unit, who acts as the leader of a five-man SWAT squad, issuing commands, and using team work and close cooperation between all the members of the squad to achieve the necessary goals of each mission in the most effective way possible.
Next generation police vehicles are delivering new designs focused on safety, technology, performance and handling improvements. Safety, ergonomics and efficiency should always be taken into account, especially when it comes to adopting new technology in a small space. Police cars are changing and problems associated with hand, wrist and back pain from typing can be solved with voice dictation.
These commands use VoiceAttack to translate the in-game on-screen SWAT menus from Moving through Breaching into natural and intelligent voice command phrases that will fire keypress macros to help maintain immersion in single player Ready or Not gameplay. As an additional option, these commands can be locked behind a push-to-talk mode bound to keyboard key or controller buttons, allowing any other VoiceAttack command unrestricted access if needed, while still restricting these RoN SWAT menu command macros. I have also added an optional Audio Feedback Mode to play a short radio cue sound when a command is successfully recognized (off by default). As with all my AVCS4 profiles, my goal was an intuitive system, so there is no user manual - only a few infographics and quick reference pic of all the SWAT menu commands. If you can think of a way to say a menu action, it's probably covered. I typically imagine sentence structures that can mimic most "any way you say it", and use those for my recognition commands to ease the learning curve. No need to memorize strict phrases like "Mirror Under Door" - most natural options are recognized already, just try what comes to mind at the time, such as, "Mirror that door" or "Mirror under this door", etc. If the way you like to say something truly doesn't work, you can easily add it through the included AVCS CORE Quick Command Creator - add your phrase the way you say it and make the action to execute the proper relevant command phrase already set.
Each character has their own value for a Dialogue Voice variable. Even if you don't localize your audio content, having a distinct voice for each character means that you can associate a given voice actor's recordings with that voice, so Zoe will always sound like Zoe.
Referring to our design document, we know that the quest NPC's voice is Feminine and Singular. Use the drop-down menus to set the Gender and Plurality accordingly.
We could also make some notes about how the voice actor should sound friendlier toward Zoe, as they have a shared military background, and be more abrupt with Adam, who she doesn't trust because of his mercenary past. These would go in the Voice Actor Direction field. Finally, after the voice actor recordings come back, we would import those as Sound Waves and set them in the Sound Wave field for each context. In this example, we are not going to create Sound Waves, but you could use Sound Waves from the Starter Content to test.
At the time, limitations in radio technology meant that there was a brief delay between the time an officer pressed the button to talk and when the transmission of their voice would begin. Hopper understood that adding the "10" before the codes gave the radios time to catch up, ensuring that complete and abbreviated messages got across.
Voice recognition is a prerequisite for tasks like voice search. Google developed a very rich language recognition model [12]. Schalkwyk et. al. presented a study [13] on Google Search by Voice and demonstrated its accuracy. However, voice commands in mobile environments might get distorted due to facial obstructions like masks. Translation of pre-recorded voice to texts can be feasible in such scenarios. Text processing can be executed from images through using optical character recognition [14].
Gaze down/ Moving out of the frame: If the learner temporarily looks down, closes his/her eyes for a few seconds or becomes temporarily unavailable, the video lecture will automatically pause until the learner looks back at the screen or moves back in front of the screen. This is to ensure that periodic context switching is supported by the system. However, each time the user looks down/ moves out of the frame, a program closing counter starts. At 5th second, the user is prompted with a voice command. If the user continues to look down/ stay out for 5 more seconds, the program closes. This ensures a contact-free exit mechanism at any instance of the lecture. Assuming an average frame rate of 15fps, the program will be closed if eyes are closed for 150 consecutive frames. The threshold of eye aspect ratio (EAR) to infer if the eye is closed, is set to .15. Mathematically, if \(EAR(Frame_n(pre), ... , Frame_n+150(pre))
Notes generation. This module is an integration of OCR-based text and voice processing functions. On exit(), the frames of the recorded segments are processed by the pytesseract function image_to_string() to identify textual content from the image. The audio segments are simultaneously processed by the creation of a SpeechRecognition object using Recognizer() function, loading the audio segment (AudioFile()), and converting it to text using the Google Speech API (recognize_google()). 2ff7e9595c
